The ACCRA Backup Service is designed to assist individuals, families, business and enterprise to easily backup and protect their data in case of a disaster. Accra Backup Service is a secure private cloud backup software that allows multiple machines to backup files and folders to a central secure and encrypted repository
The Accra Backup Service uses a Client/Server architecture to facilitate the backup process based on the RSYNC standard. RSYNC is a software application and network protocol for Unix-like and Windows systems that synchronizes files and directories from one location to another while minimizing data transfer using delta encoding when appropriate. An important feature of RSYNC not found in most similar programs/protocols is that the mirroring takes place with only one transmission in each direction. RSYNC can copy or display directory contents and copy files, optionally using compression and recursion.
In other words the ACCRA Backup Service is devised to only transfer the changes or new files that occurred since the last backup. In this fashion we can minimize the impact on both the time required and Internet (bandwidth) used to backup your files. This makes the solution very efficient and cost effective. Please note that the first backup will always take longer since all files need to be transferred at least once. Depending on the service package you acquired your backups can also support versions allowing you to back in history to find an earlier version of a file and restore it.
The Accra Backup Service is also security conscience in that your backups are encrypted and stored on our servers in an encrypted format by default, insuring that only you have access to your data. You can further encrypt your Backup using your own security key to double encrypt your data. (please note that if you loose the security key that you used to encrypt the backup, nobody in the world can help you retrieve your data. Your data will be lost.) Make certain that if you use this feature that you store a copy of the encryption key you use in a secure place.
